Venue information

  • The venue is in the Florentia Clothing Village, you can get a taxi to Vale Road and then walk 50 metres through the complex to the venue. This is a well lit walk past on-site security. There are 2 or 3 speed ramps for cars along that stretch.

  • There is a concrete ramp up to the venue door, which is steeper than most ramps. The door is single width.

  • There are 2 toilets on the right as you enter and a further two toilets in the neighbouring building up some metal stairs. These stairs can be a bit slippy when cold and wet. There is no disabled access toilet. All toilets are gender neutral.

  • The floor is painted concrete, which can get a bit slippery when drinks are spilt - we try to keep on top of this!

  • The food is served buffet style in the bar area, so people queue. We can arrange to serve plates up for anyone who would find queueing difficult, email ahead of time or ask at the entry table.

  • The dance floor is covered in rugs and cushions with some chairs and benches for sitting and sharing food together. These are then moved to make way for the dance floor after dinner.

  • There is a soft seating area outside of the dance floor, on a mezzanine up a short flight of stairs. If you need a seat downstairs talk to the people at the entry table or the security.

  • There is a coat rail by the entrance, which is visible from the entry table. There is no security for this, so leave your possessions at your own risk.

  • There are no flashing lights, lighting is soft and can become dark. We use a spotlight and rotating mirror ball as well as colour oil slide projectors.

  • The soundsystem we use is a large hifi, which we set up in all four corners of the dance floor. Music is played at around -100dB, not loud enough to fatigue hearing but loud enough to feel encompassing. Quality over quantity.

  • The dance floor can feel quite busy at peak times, we aim to manage capacity so that there is plenty of space to dance.

  • Water is available from the bar, which offers non alcoholic drinks as well as alcoholic drinks.

Safer space

We have a safer space policy, which is available here and on posters around the venue. We have a team of safer space stewards, identifiable by glow sticks on their wrists, who receive training in how to uphold the safer space policy in a caring, supportive way. We have amazing door security who respect and understand the kind of space we are trying to create and support us to do this. If you need support getting home, we will help you order a taxi. If something happens or you need a quiet space, our safer space stewards will provide a space for you.

Join our crew

If you'd like to help out with organising before, the day of, during or after the event, get in touch! It's a great way to support us and get a free ticket.

We especially need help with the pack down and tidying of the space at the end of the night. The last few parties we have been low on numbers. Any help would be hugely appreciated. The journey doesn't stop with the music!
